Nominations for the NetGuide Australian Web Awards 2008 open at 9am (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on August, 2008 and close at 5.30pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on September 19, 2008.

Nomination is open to all readers regardless of location, but we will only accept Web sites that are based in Australia.

NetGuide (ACP Magazines Ltd) reserves the right to remove, change and add to the publicised categories during the judging process.

NetGuide (ACP Magazines Ltd) reserves the right to remove sexually explicit and any other inappropriate Web sites from the list of nominated sites, to reclassify a Web site that has been nominated in another category and to nominate a site which has not been nominated by a reader.

Judges will be appointed by NetGuide (ACP Magazines Ltd) to select finalists in each category, then to select the winning Web site in each category, and then to select the Site of the Year.

A number of criteria will be used for judging, including (but not limited to) quality of content, ease of navigation, attractiveness of design and originality. The judges' decisions are final.

The People’s Choice Award is given to the finalist that receives the greatest number of votes from NetGuide readers. NetGuide (ACP Magazines Ltd) will only accept one vote per reader for the People’s Choice Award, and accepts no responsibility for lost or misdirected votes.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award opens on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 9am (Australian Eastern Daylight Time), and closes on Friday, February 13, 2009 at 5.30pm (Australian Eastern Daylight Time).
